The Full Story
About
The Wild Ways is a shared identity and collaborative platform for three legally distinct organisations who work together to support neurodivergent children, young people and families. Each organisation operates independently but shares values, ethos, and commitment to community care.
This page explains how we’re structured, who is responsible for what, and how we ensure transparency and compliance with UK legal and regulatory standards.
What is “The Wild Ways”?
The Wild Ways is not a separate legal entity, it is a collective brand and
umbrella identity that connects our work, our story, and our shared ethos.
Under The Wild Ways banner, we offer:
-
A shared website and digital platform
-
A unified visual identity
-
Co-produced events, webinars, and resources
-
Coordinated communications and safeguarding policies
-
Collective commitment to equity, inclusion, and neurodivergent-affirming practice
The brand and website are currently maintained by Raising a Wild Child Ltd, with shared access and input from all three organisations.

Financial & Legal Responsibilities
Each of the three organisations:
-
Has its own bank account
-
Manages its own income, expenditure, and reserves
-
Retains responsibility for its own service delivery and contractual obligations
All donations, payments, or contracts are processed by the specific organisation delivering the service. Our payment pages and receipts make this clear. If you’re unsure which organisation is delivering a service, please just ask – we’re always happy to clarify.

Cost-Sharing & Governance
Where costs are shared (e.g. website hosting, administration, safeguarding systems), these are split on a real-cost basis with no profit or mark-up applied. Agreements are in place to:
-
Prevent public or donated funds being used for private gain
-
Maintain compliance with the CIC Regulator’s rules and asset-lock protections
-
Ensure full transparency in grant reporting and tax treatment
We also maintain shared safeguarding protocols, training frameworks, and a unified approach to community safety and inclusion.

Accountability & Oversight
Each organisation:
-
Submits its own annual accounts to Companies House
-
CICs file a CIC34 report each year detailing their public benefit and community impact
-
Maintains its own board of directors, who are legally responsible for that entity only
-
Publishes key policies and reports on our website for public access
You can request copies of our filings, or ask about any aspect of our governance, at any time.
