Why Does My Child Keep Having Meltdowns?

Understanding the anxiety cycle and what may be happening underneath the behaviour.

Time & Location

11 Sept 2026, 10:30 – 12:00

Oakwood Hill Community Centre, Longcroft Rise Loughton IG10 3NB

About the event

Does your child have meltdowns that seem to come from nowhere?

Do they lash out, shut down or lose control? Does anxiety or fear seem to build until everything spills over?

Join Suzan Issa, Coach, Advocate & Founder of The WildWays Foundation, for a supportive session exploring the anxiety cycle and what may be happening underneath the behaviour.

We’ll look at how a child can move through:

Coping β†’ Anxiety Rising β†’ Overwhelm β†’ Meltdown β†’ Exhaustion β†’ Recovery

This session will help parents and carers understand what may be happening underneath the behaviour, rather than focusing only on what can be seen on the surface.
