Our Approach
At Raising a Wild Child, we offer compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming support for families raising children who don’t fit into traditional moulds. We understand that conventional parenting advice often falls short when it comes to neurodivergent children—especially those with PDA, autism, ADHD, or other unique ways of experiencing the world.
Rather than trying to “fix” children or make them conform, we embrace their individuality. Our approach supports parents and caregivers in developing a deeper understanding of their child’s needs, emotions, and behaviours, while offering practical, therapeutic strategies to create greater calm, connection, and harmony at home.
We offer a pathway of courses that meet families wherever they are in their journey—whether they’re just beginning to recognise that their child may be neurodivergent, processing a new diagnosis, or looking for new ways to parent in alignment with their child’s needs.
Our training gently supports parents to deepen their understanding, explore what a diagnosis really means, and develop practical, compassionate approaches to daily challenges. As families grow in their understanding, we offer more in-depth guidance on topics like sensory differences, restrictive eating (including ARFID), sibling dynamics, and navigating parenting when caregivers have different perspectives. Each stage is designed to build knowledge, connection, and clarity—helping families move forward with greater confidence and calm.
At the heart of our work is the belief that every Wild Child deserves to be understood, supported, and celebrated—and that every family deserves to feel held. Through personalised support, meaningful training, and an inclusive, validating community, we help families move beyond daily struggles into deeper connection and confidence.
